Me2014
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm Kristi, born and raised in Southern California. I've been into makeup since I was little. Makeup has always been a release to me, but not an obligation. I wear it when I want to, not because I have to and when i do wear something, I like to know it's gonna work... so I research. I'm self taught and love sharing what I find, whether that be a new product, a new makeup look, a new technique for applying, nail art, nails tools or places to get your beauty products cheaper. I hope you love reading these as much as I love writing them. Again, thank you so much for checking out my blog!!

Makeup Look: Rockin Red Eyes...

Hey Loves! Didn't make a video on this one but did post a pic on my Twitter. I watched a video from GoldieStarling on Youtube and LOVED her red and black makeup. I wanted to try it with the products I had... but turns out, I don't have reds for the most part. I used to have a 120 palette but it took up a lot of room and had more neon colors than I would ever use.

I pulled it off tho, my own version...

So, I started with a red base... actually it was a lipstick pencil. Then i used rust and red based eyeshadow and blended them into a black with red sparkles. One thing I stayed true to was the reds, didn't blend out with browns (which I usually do).

Here's a list of products and where I used them:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance (Primer)
Milani Lip Flash Shimmer Gloss Pencil in 05 - Hot Flash (Red base)
NYX Eyeshadow in Copper (above crease to blend)
MAC Eyeshadow in Coppering (Inner 2/3 of lid)
MAC Eyeshadow in Antiqued (outer 1/3 of lid and crease)
MAC Eyeshadow in Beauty Marked (Outer "V" and lower lashline)
MAC Eyeshadow in Blanc Type and Gesso (Brow highlight)
MAC Eyeshadow in Coquette (fill brows)
MAC Eye Kohl in Feline (waterline)
Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black
Ardell Lashes #109

Hope you like the look!!
